The Ohio Connection
- Robert Lawrence Stine was born on October 8, 1943 in Columbus. He was raised and educated in Bexley, a first-tier suburb east of Columbus.
- He graduated from the Ohio State University in 1965. For three years, Stine edited OSU’s humor magazine, The Sundial.
- After college, Stine remained in Columbus for a year to teach middle school social studies.
- Stine chronicles his early experiences in the autobiography, It Came from Ohio! My Life as a Writer (1997).
